D50 Announces Leadership Changes at Greenwood High School and the G. Frank Russell Technology Center

Jim Still to Lead Greenwood High School as Interim Principal

 

Jim Still has been named as Interim Principal at Greenwood High School. Still is currently completing his fourth year as the Director at the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. During his 24 years in District 50, Still has served as an administrator, teacher, and athletic coach. He also served as an Assistant Principal at Clinton High School in Laurens School District 56 before returning to District 50 as an Assistant Principal and Principal at Northside Middle School.  

 

Still graduated from Clemson University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He went on to earn a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

 

Still is excited about this next step in his professional career.

 

“I’m honored to be selected to lead Greenwood High School in an interim role,” Still said. “I’m excited to return to Greenwood High in a leadership role after previously working at the school as a teacher and coach. This is a special place to me. Our goal is to continue building on the tremendous history and tradition set at GHS. I look forward to fostering positive relationships with our students, teachers, parents, and staff as we begin the new school year.”

 

Still replaces GHS Principal Kathryn Benjamin, who announced her retirement prior to the end of the school year.

 

Jessica Sprouse Named as Interim Director of the G. Frank Russell Technology Center

 

Jessica Sprouse has been named as the Interim Director of the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. Sprouse currently serves as the Assistant Director at the Technology Center, a position she has held for the last two years. During her 19 years in education, Sprouse has served as an administrator, Spanish teacher, World Language Facilitator, and athletic coach. Sprouse graduated from Lander University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish in 2007. Sprouse has earned a Master of Education in Educational Curriculum and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University. 

 

“I look forward to serving in my new interim role at the Technology Center,” Sprouse stated. “My goal is to continue to enhance our relationships with RTC’s business partners in order to create relevant work opportunities and experiences for our students. It will truly take a total team effort to continue our tradition of excellence established at the Technology Center.”

 

These positions are labeled with an interim status, which means that the position will be posted in January 2026 for qualified candidates to apply.
